Many of those newly accredited achieved this by attending a number of different events and classroom training provided by our subject matter experts to enhance their technical Global Mobility knowledge. In addition, some took advantage of the online reading available on the website.
The key to their success has been to complete and submit their learning logs shortly after the event. Everyone knows how easy it is to get distracted by the assignees and the business as soon as you are back in the office, but either completing the learning log at the event or submitting it the day after has made sure it has not slipped to the bottom of the To Do pile. Some members have purposefully added regular time in their diary to check on the latest white papers and upcoming webinars. Whilst others have decided to present their learnings back to their team at their regular monthly meetings to embed their learnings.
MyGMPD is an excellent opportunity to obtain accreditation and recognition amongst peers and the wider Global Mobility community. We have seen Global Heads of Mobility sign up their whole team onto MyGMPD and are including it as part of the team’s individual personal development plan. The feedback we have received so far has been that the registration process couldn’t be simpler, the self-serving functionality allows members to dip into training as they have time and the help of a Learning Coach to guide you through the process has made it far less daunting than it may first appear.
